Ryanair, The "irish low fares airline", flies regularly from Lisbon and Oporto. Ryanair flies a 270 plus strong Boeing 737-800NG / Max8 fleet on these services.
SATA Air Açores flies regional flights commuting all nine islands in the Azores Archipelago as well as domestic flights to Madeira, using a modern fleet composed of De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q200 and Q400 Next Gen aircraft.
TAP Air Portugal (a Star Alliance member) who flies twice daily to Lisbon and from there passengers can go anywhere in the world using TAP, Star Alliance member flights or others. TAP uses a mix of Embraer 190/195 and Airbus family types, mainly A320Neo, A321neo and ocasionally A330 on flights to the Azores and beyond. Edelweiss Airwill start a seasonal service Zurich-Terceira-Zurich in 2025. The flight will operate weekly on wednesdays, from june 25th through september 10th, 2025, using Airbus A320 equipment.
